Introduction
Aquaform is software for water infrastructure design and monitoring. It enables
engineers to design optimal water infrastructure and monitor its operation. It’s
advanced mapping, infrastructure modelling and realtime optimisation functionality
provides the tools needed to create detailed 3D models of water infrastructure, with
realtime CAPEX and OPEX calculations. There are a wide range of applications of
the software including greywater system design, realtime water monitoring and
optimisation of industrial effluent treatment systems. Aquaform is built on a
flexible software platform that can be reconfigured and optimised for a new
infrastructure projects.

To start creating a water network node, the user should click on the ‘new water node’ button on the homescreen.
The user can import a photo or other 2D image of the water node into the software in the form of a jpeg or png file.
The software provides an orthogonal view editor that enables the user to place 3D triangles over the 2D image to create a three dimensional computer
model of the water node.
The software provides a visualisation mode that allows the user to inspect the node before it is included within a network.

Clicking on the new water network
button will create a new project.
In the AquaForm software, the
individual elements of the water
network are called nodes. This button
allows the user to create new nodes.
This user guide is embedded within
the software and is available from the
homescreen.
The homescreen is the first screen that is shown when you run the AquaForm software. It allows the user to open an existing project or create a new one.
All of the user’s existing projects are shown in the grid to the right of the screen. The buttons for creating new projects are available on the left.
The select tool allows the user to
delete projects.
The user may retrieve deleted projects
from the recycle bin.
The AquaForm software has the facility to generate detailed maps from almost anywhere in the world. These maps are generated
from a variety of sources including Open Street Map and NASA elevation data. Overlays can be created for different map features
including water bodies, railways, road networks and protected areas.
Service Feature
AquaFrom has a data import tool that enables data for existing or new water networks to be imported in the software. Data is imported as
csv files. There is flexibility in how data is import as the user specify the mapping between columns in the csv file and key parameters.

The AquaForm software includes functionality to create new nodes for inclusion in water networks. The software
has a simple yet powerful 3D editor that enables complex 3D models of water facilities to be constructed.
The new triangle tool allows the user to click 3 times to place
a triangle. The x and y coordinates of the point are
determined by the coordinates of the mouse click. The z
coordinate is specified by the amount the the user drags the
mouse button vertically before releasing it.
The select tool allows the user to select and move vertices.
The delete button allows the user to delete triangles by
clicking on them.

CAPEX and OPEX Calculation
Aquaform has a powerful
mapping platform that
enables detailed land use
maps to be generated for any
region of the world.
The 3D modelling functionality
of Aquaform allows complex
computer models of water
structure to be created at a
range of scales from individual
buildings to entire cities.
The software has a realtime
optimisation algorithm that
allows the optimal routes for
infrastructure pathways to be
calculated in realtime
throughout the design process.
The software allows the realtime
calculation of CAPEX and OPEX
costs to enable decision making.
